Today was nomination day for the Summer Village election.

As we did not receive enough nominations to fill the three positions on Council, nominations will be open again tomorrow at the Sundance Beach Community Centre from 10 am until noon.  

If no more nominations are received during that time, the nominations will be received every day from 10 am until noon for the next 6 days until at least three candidates have been nominated. (So far two candidates have been nominated.)

 

If sufficient nominations to fill all vacancies are not received. the Minister of Municipal affairs will be informed, who may recommend to the Lieutenant Governor in Council to change the status of the local  jurisdiction, or take any other actions as the Minister considers necessary.
